Tomato Paste Roma Determinate 100 Non-GMO, Heirloom Seeds
Grow a kitchen-ready harvest with Roma Determinate Paste Tomato. This heirloom variety produces firm, meaty, oblong tomatoes with a relatively low seed-to-flesh ratio, well suited to sauces, paste, roasting, and fresh salsa. Its determinate habit tends toward a concentrated harvest that is convenient for batch cooking. Give plants sun, consistent moisture, and support for fruit-bearing branches. Each packet contains 100 non-GMO heirloom seeds.

Why Choose Roma Determinate Paste Tomato?
- Meaty Fruit: Thick flesh and comparatively small seed cavities make Roma useful for sauces and roasting.
- Concentrated Harvest: Determinate plants tend to produce much of their crop within a shorter window, convenient for batch preparation.
- Manageable Growth: Bush-style plants are easier to accommodate than long indeterminate vines, while still needing room and support.
- Kitchen Versatility: Dice for fresh salsa, roast as a side, or simmer into a flavorful sauce.
- Open-Pollinated Heirloom: Seed-saving gardeners can use suitable isolation and selection practices to maintain variety characteristics.
Planting Tips for Success
- Start Indoors: Sow about 6–8 weeks before your planned transplant date, approximately 1/4 inch deep in seed-starting mix. Maintain even moisture and provide bright light after emergence.
- Transplant: Harden off seedlings gradually, then plant outside after frost danger passes and soil warms.
- Sunlight: Choose a site receiving 6–8 hours of direct sun.
- Soil: Use fertile, well-drained soil amended with finished compost. Soil testing can guide fertilizer needs.
- Spacing: Allow about 24–36 inches between supported plants, with enough room for airflow and harvest access.
- Support: Install a sturdy cage or stake early to keep loaded branches and fruit off the soil.
- Water and Mulch: Water deeply at soil level and keep moisture consistent without waterlogging. Mulch after soil warms to reduce soil splash and evaporation.
- Fertilizing: Follow soil-test guidance and fertilizer label directions. Avoid excessive nitrogen that favors foliage over fruit.
- Pruning: Avoid heavy pruning of determinate plants. Remove damaged foliage as needed and retain healthy leaves to shade fruit.
- Containers: Use a large pot with drainage, quality potting mix, and support. Check moisture frequently in hot weather.
- Harvest: Pick when fruit is fully colored and ripe. The existing approximate 80-day transplant-to-harvest estimate varies with growing conditions.
