    If growing for seeds, keep in mind that one plant can produce thousands of seeds.

    One year I was growing some for seed. When the day came for harvesting, I went out and they were all gone. The birds got them.

    Up unto this year, usually the bugs got them. But this year, I have noticed that the birds are eating the bugs that gather on the plants.

    We may actually get some cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage this year.

    Cauliflower comes in other colors but these are mostly hybrids and are not cheap.

    Cauliflower Snow Crown is the standard early variety. This hybrid shows unusual seedling vigor. Good quality, medium-size heads whether harvested in summer or fall. Cauliflower Snow Crown has good tolerance to moderate fall frost (25–32°F). AAS Winner. NOTE: When grown under fertility or moisture stress all cauliflower, but particularly Snow Crown, can show a purplish coloration on the undersides of the heads.
