Bitter Long Thick Gourd, commonly known as bitter melon, produces unusually long fruits ranging from 8 to 12 inches with dark green skin and white flesh. For optimal flavor and texture, harvest the gourds while they are still young and green. The plant is vigorous, developing numerous branches that support a generous yield. Though it is valued for various health benefits, these cannot be detailed here. This heirloom variety reaches maturity in approximately 70 days and offers a germination rate of 80% or higher. Our Non-GMO seeds are sustainably produced and packaged in environmentally responsible, reusable, and recyclable materials, making them an excellent choice for gardeners seeking both quality and sustainability.

This is an heirloom seed, meaning it has been passed down from generation to generation for at least 75 years. As a rule, heirloom seeds taste better and will grow the same year after year.

These are also open pollinated meaning they will reproduce themselves. While all heirlooms are open pollinated not all open pollinated seeds are heirlooms.

Freshly Packed: These gourd seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.
