Bean Pole Yard Long Red Noodle is a prolific heirloom variety known for its impressive clusters of burgundy beans, each measuring 16 to 20 inches in length. These vigorous plants thrive in hot climates due to their cowpea heritage, common in subtropical and tropical regions such as South and Southeast Asia and southern China. The beans are best enjoyed fresh when harvested before full maturity to avoid a woody texture, though mature pods are excellent for dry bean use. Although the plants take longer to mature than bush beans, the beans grow rapidly once production begins, necessitating daily harvesting for optimal quality. Remarkably heat tolerant, these beans maintain their flavor and texture even in 100-degree weather, as verified in recent cultivation. Germination rates is around 60% or higher, with harvest achievable in approximately 60 days. Our Non-GMO seeds promote sustainable gardening and come in environmentally responsible packaging that is reusable, recyclable, and climate friendly. We have grow these in South Texas and they just smile at the heat.

This is an heirloom seed, meaning it has been passed down from generation to generation for at least 75 years. As a rule, heirloom seeds taste better and will grow the same year after year.

These are also open pollinated meaning they will reproduce themselves. While all heirlooms are open pollinated not all open pollinated seeds are heirlooms.

Freshly Packed: These bean seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.

Recommended as a doomsday bean because of its color and productivity.
