Flower Stock Katz Ruby is a versatile, early-blooming single-stem variety delivering vibrant ruby-red blooms on long, elegant stems—ideal for bold floral compositions and professional cut-flower production. These Non-GMO heirloom seeds produce reliable column-type plants yielding one premium flowering stem per plant—optimized for efficient one-cut harvest and consistent, predictable yields. Katz Ruby's extended stems reach 24–32 inches and support 1½–2 inch bright ruby-red blooms with excellent uniformity in both bloom time and stem length. The variety demonstrates outstanding performance characteristics with natural double-flower production at 55–60% without selection and additional selection possible for higher double rates. Katz Ruby's early-blooming habit and extended stem length provide exceptional flexibility for diverse design applications, from tall dramatic arrangements to premium event work. The rich ruby coloring adds depth and visual impact to mixed bouquets while maintaining the reliability Katz series is known for. Stock Katz Ruby's peppery, clove-like flavored blooms also serve as elegant edible garnishes for salads, desserts, and beverages. With a 100-day bloom cycle and 70% or better germination rate, this variety ensures reliable, premium results. Important: Do not pinch plants, as this terminates flowering. David's Garden Seeds® provides these sustainable, Non-GMO seeds in environmentally responsible, reusable, and fully recyclable packaging.

This is an heirloom seed, meaning it has been passed down from generation to generation for at least 75 years. As a rule, heirloom seeds taste better and will grow the same year after year.

These are also open pollinated meaning they will reproduce themselves. While all heirlooms are open pollinated not all open pollinated seeds are heirlooms.

Freshly Packed: These seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.
