Lupine Chandelier Yellow represents a distinguished member of the Russell Hybrids 'Band of Nobles' series, celebrated for its exceptional hardiness, longevity, and minimal maintenance requirements once established. This perennial cultivar produces sweetly scented, soft buttery-yellow blooms that provide rare warmth and luminosity among traditional lupine color palettes dominated by cool blues and purples. Plants develop multiple flower spikes with stiff, straight stems that support densely packed 1–2 foot inflorescences covered in delicate, pea-like flowers approximately ½ inch in diameter, creating substantial visual impact and architectural presence in garden compositions. Notably, Chandelier Yellow exhibits first-year flowering capability, blooming in early July during its inaugural season, though bloom quality and productivity improve significantly in the second season when well-established plants flower approximately one month earlier in early June. This early-season performance allows gardeners to enjoy substantial flowering displays within the first growing year while anticipating even more prolific blooms in subsequent seasons. The plants perform optimally in regions with cool summers, thriving in full sun and well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. Chandelier Yellow attracts and provides essential nectar and pollen sources for native bees and hummingbirds, supporting pollinator populations and garden ecosystem health. The plants demonstrate typical lupine resistance to deer and rabbit browsing, making them valuable for wildlife-challenged landscapes. Hardy in Zones 4–8. This 50-seed packet contains non-GMO, heirloom genetics selected for vigor and authentic character. These are also open pollinated meaning they will reproduce themselves. While all heirlooms are open pollinated not all open pollinated seeds are heirlooms.

Freshly Packed: These lupine seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.
