Also known as Pink Milkweed, Swamp Milkweed likes to grown in swampy areas, wet thickets, and along the shoreline, and is Ideal for gray water areas and ponds. Despite its name it will grow in drier habitats and is found growing throughout the United States. It’s small, pink and sometimes white flowers can be seen usually during the months of August and September. This is a food plant for Monarch butterfly caterpillars and a nectar source for adult butterflies. Blooms June to October, Perennial, for best results plant in the fall. Germination rate about 80% or better.
