Back by popular demand, the Tycoon Tomato is now called the Texas Super Star Tomato as well as the San Antonio Rodeo Tomato for 2011! If you have never tried one, you will be amazed as these are the most flavorful tomatoes you will ever bite into.
It is on the list of Texas Super Star plants. ‘Tycoon’ is an exceptional large round tomato variety. The plant is determinate and is known for its heat setting ability as well as its resistance to tomato yellow leaf curl virus.
In addition the plant is resistant to Verticillium, Fursarium races one and two, tomato spotted wilt virus as well as nematodes. The fruit is firm and actually more oblate than round.
The Tycoon is a disease resistant hybrid determinate, which means it will do so much better than your other beefsteak tomatoes. The fruits will weigh over a half pound each so you've got plenty of good eating from each vine. This tomato is also heat resistant.
The seeds have been treated with TDMD which is standard and is the blue coloring on the seeds.
Harvest in about 80 days. Germination rate is about 80% or better.
