Apple scented 1 and 1/2 inch high plants. Profusely produces small, sweet smelling, daisy-like flowers! Tea made from them aids digestion and acts as a gentle sleep inducer. The plants will thrive in any herb garden, producing white flowers, surrounding a golden yellow center. Chamomile herbs are most popularly grown for their use in teas.

The plants are not only edible, but also make an attractive flower as well. They will attract all sorts of beneficial insects to the garden through the late Spring and summer Months. Categorized as a perennial, Chamomile plants will return yearly after all danger of frost has passed. Plant prefers full sun and regular garden soil, and cool soils for germination.  Harvest in about 65 days. Germination rate about 80% or better.

This is an heirloom seed, meaning it has been passed down from generation to generation for at least 75 years. As a rule, heirloom seeds taste better and will grow the same year after year.

These are also open pollinated meaning they will reproduce themselves. While all heirlooms are open pollinated not all open pollinated seeds are heirlooms.

Companion planting is planting seed varieties near each other to benefit one or more of the plants. Some plants benefit each other by attracting beneficial insects, keeping away unwanted bugs. Others aid in pollination. Some plants have working relationships with each other and others have antagonistic (hostile) relationships.
