    Comfrey (Symphytum officinalis)  Herbaceous perennial native to Europe. There is a white/cream flowered type and a purple flowered type. This is the purple flowered type. The plant grows true from seed.  The leaves are used to fertilize your soil and in compost to heat the compost pile to break it down quicker.  Comfrey prefers a full to part sun position with rich, moist, but well-drained soil. Sow the seed just under the surface and tamp in securely.

    Lemon Drop Spilanthes have bright, solid-yellow flower heads the shape of gum drops. Commonly known as toothache plant. Contains a natural analgesic which numbs the tongue and gums, relieving toothache pain. This numbing sensation arises from chewing either the flowers or leaves. The full, mounding habit is perfect for containers and bed plantings. Heat tolerant. Edible Flowers: Flowers, which have a spicy and citrus-like flavor, can be used as a garnish on ice cream and drinks.

    West Indian lemon grass seeds grow the edible, tender, and delicious cultivar of lemon grass. Not to be confused with ornamental East Indian lemongrass seeds, the West Indian cultivar grows and looks nearly identical while offering a uniquely complex hint of minty citrus notes. 24 to 48 inch tall grassy mound. Harvest in about 100 days. Germination rate is about 80% or better.

    Epazote is used in traditional Mexican cooking. Pungent flavor with refreshing, minty overtones. Use in chili, sauces, and bean dishes. Plant every 2 to 3 weeks from spring through early summer to ensure a steady harvest. Harvest in about 55 days. Germination rate about 80% or better.

    Use the leaves of the Stevia plant fresh, dried, powdered, or as a liquid to sweeten foods and drinks. You can encourage a bushy habit by pinching back the growing tips every few weeks for the first 1-2 months of growth. Stevia also grows well in containers as a houseplant or on the patio—choose a 14 inch diameter pot and use well-drained soil.

    Young leaves are used in salads. Roots are roasted for a coffee substitute. Roots and leaves are a blood cleanser, diuretic and liver stimulant. Dandelion has been used for its nutritional value in addition to other uses including diuresis, regulation of blood glucose, liver and gall bladder disorders, appetite stimulation, and for dyspeptic complaints.
