    No hulls to remove. When harvested and threshed, the oat kernels are almost free of the tough, inedible hulls of common oats. After winnowing, the grain is ready to cook for oatmeal or grind for oat flour. Remove any lingering hulls by floating them off in water, then air-drying the grain. This is a medium-height variety. For grain production sow seeds in early spring for a late summer harvest. Germination rate about 80%.

Glenn hard red spring wheat has excellent all-around disease resistance, with the best tolerance to scab (Fusarium head blight) we have found. Sow as early as possible in spring (delay reduces yield) less in drier climates. Harvest August–September. Harvest in 90 to 120 days. Germination rate is 80% or better.
