Snap Clamps are used to attach tarps, shade cloth, netting, or other material to pipe.

Some applications include greenhouses, row covers, shelters, bird protection, dog beds, and quilting frames.

This is what David uses to attach plastic and shade cloth to his PVC frames for his greenhouses and shade cloth frames.

Snap Clamps are heat sensitive and may lose gripping strength if exposed to temperatures greater than 140 degrees F. Here on the farm, we put a screw in the middle of the clamp once it starts to wear out from the hot sun.

We start by drilling a small hole in the middle with a drill bit and then attaching with a one inch sheet rock screw.

Clamp size is based on the inside diameter of the PVC pipe it clips on.

3/4 inch snap clamp fits on 1 inch EMT.

1 inch snap clamp fits on 1 1/4 EMT.

1 1/4 inch snap clamp fits on 1 3/8 EMT or 1 3/8 chain link fence top rail.

I usually put one claim every 2 feet.
