    Growing balsam does require some patience, however its beauty and benefits are worth the effort.

    Bees and nectar-feeding birds will enjoy visiting the pink, mauve, white, red, or lilac blossoms, just as much as you will enjoy looking at them.

    The average balsam plant grows anywhere between six inches to three feet, depending on the variety.
