Ruby Crush tomato is a compact, determinate grape tomato hybrid engineered for both container and field cultivation. Its vigorous plants deliver excellent canopy density, naturally shielding fruit from sun scald and weather stress. Each tomato weighs approximately 0.5 ounces with a solid, oval form that resists splitting—a critical advantage in variable moisture conditions. The flavor profile strikes a refined balance between sweetness and acidity, making these grapes equally suited to fresh eating and culinary applications. Maturation occurs in roughly 60 days, allowing multiple harvests within a single growing season. The variety demonstrates robust disease resistance including Fusarium wilt (Fol: 1, 2), Fusarium oxysporum (For), and Tobacco Mosaic Virus (ToMV: 0-2), with intermediate resistance to Septoria leaf spot (Sbl), Stemphylium leaf spot (Sl), and Spotted wilt (Ss). These non-GMO hybrid seeds achieve 80% or better germination rates and require only minimal structural support—a short fence trellis or standard cage suffices. Ruby Crush earned Texas Superstar recognition and was showcased at the 2021 San Antonio Texas Stock Show, affirming its performance in challenging climates.

Created from a controlled method of pollination in which the pollen of two different species or varieties is crossed by human intervention. Typical hybrid varieties are deliberately created to breed a desired trait.

Gardeners who use hybrid plant varieties usually purchase new seed every year, however, over several years the seed could eventually be used for open pollination.

Freshly Packed: These tomato seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.
