Ryegrass Perennial Diamond is a cool season perennial grass selected for turf-type qualities. Perennial ryegrass is used in the southern U.S. for winter over-seeding lawns and golf courses and will not grow as rapidly as annuals – which means you won’t have to mow it as often!

Perennial ryegrass will not persist year round in areas of low rainfall and high temperatures. It will usually grow until late spring, then die out, just as your regular turf grass enters its growing season.

Perennial Ryegrass is also a common plant for erosion control seeding in winter; however care should be used to terminate the stand before maturity or before planting permanent seed mixes.

This is an heirloom seed, meaning it has been passed down from generation to generation for at least 75 years. As a rule, heirloom seeds taste better and will grow the same year after year.

These are also open pollinated meaning they will reproduce themselves. While all heirlooms are open pollinated not all open pollinated seeds are heirlooms.

Freshly Packed: These cover crop seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.
