As Chinese Lantern can be aggressive, many gardeners recommend confining its growth.

The pods dry well and are excellent in dried floral arrangements.

Harvest in about 60 days. Germination rate is about 70% or better. 

The ripe fruits are edible and are higher in vitamin C than lemons. All other parts of the plant are poisonous. Do not eat any other part of this plant.
