Onion Long Day Walla Walla 200 Non-GMO, Heirloom Seeds
Onion Long Day Walla Walla represents a legendary heirloom variety prized throughout the Pacific Northwest for its exceptional juiciness, remarkable sweetness, and ultra-mild flavor profile that distinguishes it from conventional onion varieties. The traditional cultivation method in the Northwest—sowing seed in late August for early summer harvest—produces the most impressive results: very large, distinctly flattened bulbs with unparalleled sweetness and tenderness. In regions with winter temperatures consistently above -10°F, overwintered crops achieve superior size and flavor development. For colder climates where winter survival is uncertain, spring planting using seeds or transplants yields respectable results, though bulbs remain somewhat smaller and less intensely sweet than overwintered crops. Nice as a "green top" onion. Not for storage. Harvest in about 125 days.
Germination Rate: 80%. Test Date: 12/25. WILL.

This is an heirloom seed, meaning it has been passed down from generation to generation for at least 75 years. As a rule, heirloom seeds taste better and will grow the same year after year.
These are also open pollinated meaning they will reproduce themselves. While all heirlooms are open pollinated not all open pollinated seeds are heirlooms.
