Echinacea Purpurea, commonly known as Purple Coneflower or Native Texas Coneflower, is a robust perennial herb reaching 2 feet in height with exceptional versatility across growing conditions. This heirloom variety thrives in shade to full sun and adapts to diverse soil types—sand, loam, clay, and limestone—making it suitable for varied garden environments and ecological restoration projects. The plant produces vibrant purple blooms from April through June, with extended flowering into summer achievable through deadheading and supplemental irrigation. Blooms in about 60 days.
