Beefmaster Indeterminate Tomato brings big, meaty red tomatoes and rich, balanced flavor to the garden table. This non-GMO hybrid produces vigorous vines and substantial beefsteak fruit that can reach approximately 1–2 pounds under favorable conditions. Cut a thick slice for a sandwich, layer ripe rounds with mozzarella and basil, or simmer your harvest into sauce. Indeterminate plants can continue growing and setting fruit through the warm season when conditions permit, so give them sturdy support and room to develop. Each packet contains 10 hybrid seeds.

Germination 99% and Test Date: 8/26. WILL.

Texas Minimum Germination Rate: 75%

Why Choose Beefmaster Tomatoes?

  • Large Beefsteak Fruit: Tomatoes can reach approximately 1–2 pounds, offering generous slices for sandwiches and tomato plates. Fruit size varies with conditions.
  • Meaty Texture: Substantial red flesh suits fresh slicing, roasting, and sauces.
  • Balanced Flavor: Sweetness and acidity make ripe fruit useful in simple fresh dishes as well as cooked meals.
  • Indeterminate Growth: Vigorous vines can extend the picking season when temperatures and plant health allow.
  • Hybrid Variety: Grow a non-GMO hybrid; saved seeds may not reproduce the same plant and fruit characteristics.

Planting Tips for Success

  • Start Indoors: Sow approximately 6–8 weeks before your intended outdoor transplant date, about 1/4 inch deep in seed-starting mix. Keep evenly moist and provide bright light after emergence.
  • Transplanting: Harden off seedlings gradually. Plant outdoors after frost danger passes and soil and nighttime temperatures have warmed.
  • Sun and Soil: Choose full sun and fertile, well-drained soil enriched with finished compost.
  • Spacing: Allow approximately 24–36 inches between supported plants, with sufficient space between rows for airflow and harvest access.
  • Support: Install tall, sturdy stakes, a trellis, or heavy-duty cages early. Tie stems loosely as they grow and support branches bearing heavy fruit.
  • Watering: Keep moisture consistent at soil level. Mulch after soil warms to moderate moisture swings and reduce soil splash.
  • Fertilizing: Follow soil-test recommendations and fertilizer label directions. Excessive nitrogen can encourage foliage instead of fruit.
  • Pruning: Train vines to suit your support system and remove damaged foliage as needed. Avoid excessive leaf removal that exposes fruit to strong sun.
  • Plant Care: Inspect regularly for pests and disease. Extreme heat or cool weather can interrupt fruit set, even on healthy plants.
  • Harvest: Pick fruit when fully colored and slightly yielding to gentle pressure. Harvest timing and yield depend on conditions and care.
