Hollyhocks were brought to America by early colonists to be used as medicinal plants and for their easy to grow nature. ‘Chater’s Double Mix’ is a popular heirloom variety developed in the 1880’s by the English horticulturist Chater of Essex. It has large, fully double flowers in a variety of colors including shades of pink, red, white, and yellow. A beautiful option for the back of borders, cottage, or cutting gardens. Attracts beneficial insects and pollinators.
