Grow microgreens in a greenhouse or another protected area. Grow on potting mix or soilless medium of your choice in shallow trays or 20 row flats. Seeds should be 1/8 of an inch to 1/4 of an inch apart. Press seeds firmly into meda and cover lightly with sowing mix, vermiculite, or a humidity dome. Microgreens can be germinated on heat mats, in germination chambers, or on greenhouse benches or floors.
We recommend seeding 13 grams per tray at about 2.5 flats per ounce of seed. The average days to maturity is 12.5 days when harvested at the first true leaf. Harvest in about 15 days. David’s Garden Seeds is a Veteran owned business that has been offering quality seeds since 2009.
Harvest: Typically, microgreens are harvested at 1/2 inch to 2 inches tall. Cut with scissors or a sharp knife. Minimize handling them to reduce damage.
