Garlic Bulb Music, Two Bulbs, About 5 Cloves Per Bulb
Selected for larger cloves. Music is a very popular selection derived from German Extra Hardy. It is prized for its jumbo cloves, long storage potential and strong field performance in cold climates. Skins are very thick and tightly wrapped, with creamy white color. Expect 4–5 cloves per head. A hard-neck type. Most home gardeners do not have the space to grow a pound of garlic. To help the home gardeners, we sell it by the clove. Each bulb will produce a clove. How? Do not ask me how but it does. 100% germination. Stiff-neck bulbs form large outside cloves and no inner cloves. Hard-neck garlic has a mild taste and is easy to peel. The garlic will form little balls on them. These are called bulbils which are tiny, undivided bulbs produced in the scape of hard-neck garlic. The scape looks like a garlic flower; however, the reproductive parts are for show only, there is no cross pollination. Essentially, the bulbils are clones of the mother plant that can be planted to produce a replica of this parent. According to the grower, these were grown organically.
