Dixie Queen is another classic watermelon variety that features sweet and juicy flesh, and an attractive striated rind. Dixie Queen also tends to produce heavy yields of watermelons weighing in the 20 to 30 pound range. A round to oblong variety, Dixie Queen is an excellent choice for an early season watermelon.  Harvest in about 100 days. Germination rate about 80% or better.
