Black Forest's dark green, flat-round fruits are of the kabocha type, but a bit smaller, averaging 3 to 4 pounds, buttercup size without the button. The deep orange flesh is medium dry and sweet. Average yield is 4 to 5 fruits per plant.  Harvest in about 95 days. Germination rate about 80% or better.
