Corn Dent Nothstine is prized for its rich, sweet flavor, making it the preferred choice for producing yellow cornmeal and flour. This heirloom variety matures early, with 7 to 8-inch ears featuring glossy yellow kernels capped in white. Its ability to dry quickly in the field ensures reliable success in shorter growing seasons. Although it is not the highest yielder, the exceptional taste compensates for yield, making it an excellent crop for quality cornmeal production. Plants grow to about 7 feet tall on single stalks, with harvest ready in approximately 110 days. Seeds are organically grown, with a germination rate around 80% or higher. These Non-GMO seeds support sustainable agriculture and come packaged in reusable, climate- and environmentally friendly materials, appealing to growers dedicated to responsible practices.

This is an heirloom seed, meaning it has been passed down from generation to generation for at least 75 years. As a rule, heirloom seeds taste better and will grow the same year after year.

These are also open pollinated meaning they will reproduce themselves. While all heirlooms are open pollinated not all open pollinated seeds are heirlooms.

Freshly Packed: These seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.
